MISS YOON IS A CONSULTANT OBSTETRICIAN AND GYNAECOLOGIST AND IS A FELLOW OF THE ROYAL COLLEGE OF OBSTETRICIANS AND GYNAECOLOGISTS (RCOG).

Born in Malaysia and educated in England, she completed her A Levels at Sevenoaks School in Kent and was trained as a doctor at St. Thomas' Hospital in London. Over her 35 year career, Miss Yoon has worked in the major teaching hospitals – St Thomas’, Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea & Westminster in London, and the John Radcliffe in Oxford – all of which are referral centres for high risk pregnancies and specialist gynaecological services. Prior to becoming fully private in 2006, she was an NHS Consultant at the Homerton University Hospital in London.

Miss Yoon has wide experience of gynaecological surgical procedures including hysteroscopy, colposcopy and laparoscopy as well as specialist knowledge of oncology and abnormal smears gained at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London, where she was The Cancer Research Campaign Fellow.

Miss Yoon has published a number of research papers in international journals and has given many lectures on gynaecological cancers both internationally and in the UK.

In addition to her private clinical work, Miss Yoon sits on the Medical Advisory Committees of The Lister Hospital and the Chelsea Outpatient Centre and is the Surgical Representative of The Theatre User Group Committee at The Lister Hospital. She is also on the Revalidation Appraisal and Governance Committee of the Independent Doctors Forum and acts as one of its appraisers.

Until recently Miss Yoon was an active member of The Faculty of Training The Trainers at The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and of The National Cancer Peer Review Team. She was also the Chair of the London Colposcopy Quality Assurance Evaluation Group.

Miss Yoon is married with two young children and lives in Central London.
